Several years ago, we had some heavy rain which pushed down some branches of one of the Red Altheas [Hibiscus syriacus] onto the Janed Gold Arborvitae [Thuja occidentalis ‘Janed Gold’ Plant Patent #21,967] in the tier bed. Typically, when a heavy rain will push down parts of or all of a plant, these parts or the plant will upright itself in a couple of days. However, these branches of the Red Althea did not upright themselves.
Today, pruned these branches off the Red Althea. Unfortunately, some vines had invaded the tier bed and entangled some of these branches and the Jared Gold Arborvitae. Cut down many of these vines.
Took the refuse from the branches and the vines to the ditch in Dave’s yard.
Filled the wagon with five bags of Pine bark mini nuggets mulch from the car and which we purchased last week from Home Depot.
