Our family, past and present.

When our 2 girls were in elementary & high school, Sharon and Larry did not teach during the summer semester. The girls were members of the Faculty Club swim team; Sharon and Larry participated in the girls’ swimming practices, meets and fun at the pool. At the end of summer, the girls joined their parents to travel to professional meetings.
Our 2 girls have 10 children. Family albums are included on this website.

The trials and tribulations of our attempts at gardening.

When Sharon and Larry moved to Knoxville, they purchased a home with a large yard. They continued the family tradition of having a large vegetable garden. When they returned to Knoxville after spending a year in Europe, they traded the garden for summers with the girls.
After retirement, Sharon and Larry started to build an arboretum and vegetable garden. The blog is essentially a diary of our efforts to build this garden.
