Weeded parts of the Purple Smokebush bed focusing on Violets. E.g., weeds along the street were not removed but were sprayed with Ortho Groundclear Super. This herbicide was also sprayed on weeds in our driveway and on some Bermuda grass that was in the Purple Smokebush bed.
Tomatoes, Cucumbers and Zucchini

Sharon harvested Tomatoes, Cucumbers and Zucchini from the straw bale beds.
Sharon and I took 3 large bags filled with garden refuse to the Knox county dump.
