Boat Trip and Luncheon to Watch Hill Fire Island
Those of you with some semblance of memory may recall a Seton Hall Fire Island trip. In an effort to keep us all together for another day and to reinforce those great memories we repeat that excursion some 50 years later. After adequately recovering from the gala festivities of Friday evening at the Islandia Marriot we will depart (in carpools for those without cars at the Marriot) at around 11AM for the Davis Park Ferry in Patchogue. We will board the 12:15 ferry for about a 30 min ride across the bay arriving at the Watch Hill Marina. At Watch Hill there are nature trails to walk and continue to renew friendships and a luncheon at 1:30 at the Pier Restaurant (see the menu). After a relaxing afternoon we will board the 4:30 ferry back to Patchogue. That should leave enough time for a quick nap (for the old folks) and shower (hopefully for everyone!) before gathering again in the Marriot Saturday evening (details will follow).
The total cost for the ferry and luncheon is $45. (tax and tip included) and you have already paid a $5. deposit. There is still time if you haven’t yet signed up. Soon you will be asked to remit the remainder ($40.) to Anita along with the payment for the Friday festivities. The menu at the Pier includes dessert and coffee/tea but “other” drinks will be separately charged.
